Some people say that they feel a tinge of sadness when their art leaves their studio and enters the world. But I always like that moment because for me, that’s when the drawings become fully alive, not so much gathering dust in my house.
The sad tinge for me comes when I’m finishing a drawing I’ve been working on for a long time. I find it’s the only time I procrastinate in the studio. It’s like the last day of a long journey that is coming to a satisfying conclusion but also leaves me wanting more.
